Today Connor turns 15. He is at that place where he is on his way. Moving on to high school, becoming his own person. As his mom, I have the privilege of watching his world evolve day to day. And although it can be exhausting it is a fun adventure.
To be a pro skater.
To hang with Nijah Huston.
To go to college.
To become a physicists.
To build a half pipe in our (tiny) back yard.
To live in Alaska and be a mountain man.
To grow dreadlocks.
To own a seahorse (and build a fish tank in the ceiling of his room).
To be a skate board designer after he is a retired pro (at age 24 perhaps).
To build a middle weight robot and win a competition (yes that is a real thing that he is working on).
To ride a hump back wale while singing "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley. Hmmmmm???
So do you see how my Alaskan, physicists, skateboarder with dread locks, who designs skateboards and builds robots, while riding whales and singing Bob Marley tunes, could wear a mom out on any given day? But it is so worth it. I sure do love that kid!
Happy Birthday Connor!
