It's not hard to enjoy a day like today. Open the windows and let breeze blow though the house. Even doing laundry can bring a bit of pleasure because the sheets can hang outside and catch the aroma of fresh air. After school Delaney strips out of her uniform and pulls on last years swimsuit. She asks when the pool is going up. Friends come over. We take the dogs for a walk. The kids are outside playing in the sandbox, shooting baskets, riding scooters and skateboards.
But there is one downfall about a day like today....at night when I climb into my fresh, newly washed sheets, the pleasure is interrupted by the grit of the sandbox that has somehow crept under my covers. A small price to pay for such a wonderful day!
