My Teenager Said What......?

Today as Ricky and I were clearing the dinner dishes, Connor was sitting at the kitchen table doing (or not doing) his homework. Out of the blue he said "You guys are good parents."

Huh....Did that just come out of my 13 year old's mouth?

I'll spare the details of why he said it. Let's just say it had to do with a demerit, some worry, and a few long conversations that occurred earlier that day. The details do not matter. What does matter is that I mark this day, and document the event where our teenage boy gave us that complement. We might need to remind him of it in the future.
