Our Decade

I always think it is fun at the end of the year how different media groups give recaps of their top "whatever". This year was especially interesting because it was the end of a decade. A couple of weeks ago, a talk radio station was listing the top 10 events that changed our lives over the past 10 years. In that same spirit Ricky and I came up with our own list events that changed our lives the most, in our little our family, over the past decade.

Here they are on no particular order...

1. The birth of our first girl, our third child, the kids now out numbered the parents

2. Dogs...Adopting Mable, saying goodbye to Irma, saying hello to Emma

3. The discovery of White Lake, a new retreat every summer.

4. Becoming members of St Matthias School.

5. The birth of our second girl, our fourth child, now we are really out numbered

6. The death of my Grandma, we still miss her

7. Remodeling the kitchen

8. The boys coming of age to stay home by themselves and babysit

9. Kids participating in athletics
